Why is there such a stigma against cannabis?
Cannabis is arguably the most misunderstood plant on the planet, thanks to its taboo history over the last century.
Did you know it was deemed illegal with the passage of the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937 for industrial and medical uses after it was used as medicine for centuries prior?
Stay tuned on a history lesson blog on this topic… I digress.
It’s hard to truly understand the value that cannabis has in our holistic health approaches until there is more education, and more health care professionals and organizations encouraging it, in which a vast variety in modern medicine still do not.
We have come a long way with cannabis legalization in the last decade, but still have so much more work to do.
A lot more research has surfaced in the last 40 years bringing us to full hemp legalization in the United States and various countries globally, 35 states offering medical marijuana, and 15 states recreational marijuana. A
nd as of Dec 2, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations (UN) commission for Narcotic Drugs was voted to remove cannabis from a list of drugs previously judged, outlawed, and ridiculed. Just 2 days later, the United States House of Representatives approved a bill to decriminalize and tax marijuana at the Federal level.
Could this be our first step to full cannabis legalization? We think so!
How has Cannabis helped you?
This is a plant that changed my life after I became reliant upon [sometimes up to] 300 synthetic prescription medications per month at the doctor’s hands after battling cancer.
My mental health declined, along with feeling like a walking zombie, and feeling half “stoned” with the cocktail of medications.
After battling cancer, the recovery takes it’s own toll on a young woman’s mental health, and I often felt like ending my own life on those medications, knowing how blessed I was – I truly felt empty at times.
I knew there had to be a better way, so I became my own advocate and researched all the information that modern medicine, the Government, and the media try to downplay.
The science and testimonies can’t be denied this plant changes lives.
We are here to help advocate and educate, while also normalizing and breaking stigmas in an effort to serve society with accurate information on the power of various compounds of the cannabis plant, not just the one associated with the “high.”
“I use hemp and marijuana daily, and have come off every single synthetic medication! I’d be doing society a disservice if I didn’t educate and offer my village high quality life changing products. But it’s up to them to do their own homework. I can not make any claims that cannabis can cure, treat, or prevent any disease.” – Cannaliving Crystal

The cannabis movement is not slowing down, in fact, it is speeding up (finally), thanks to thousands of advocates who have fought for legalization for the last few decades.
It’s important to understand it for your best health decisions, and consult with your healthcare professionals.
